Weather Forecast During August 21-24, the monsoon trough lies across the North and the Northeast of Thailand. The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand. More rain is likely over Thailand and isolated heavy rain in the North, the Northeast, the East, and the South. A strong wind wave is expected in the Andaman Sea with 2-3 meters in wave height. During August 25-27, the monsoon trough remains lies across the North and the upper Northeast of Thailand. The weak southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand. Less rain is likely in the Central, the East, and the South but remain abundant rain in the North and the Northeast.

Typhoon “GONI” over upper the Philippines is expected to move to Taiwan during August 22-23. All travelers should stay tuned for the weather update. The storm does not have a significant impact on Thailand.
