Weather Forecast During 24-25 Aug, the monsoon trough lies across Myanmar and upper Lao PDR, and the strengthening southwest monsoon prevails over the upper Andaman Sea, southern and the upper Gulf of Thailand. Isolated heavy rain remains over the South West Coast with the strong wind wave 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand.
During August 26-30, the monsoon trough will lie across the upper portion of North and the Northeast, and the moderate southwest monsoon will prevail over the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand. Rainfall is expected over the North, the Northeast and the South West Coast while the wave height about 2 meters in the Andaman Sea.
Typhoon “GONI” located east of Taiwan is expected to move to Japan during August 25-26. All travelers should stay tuned for the weather update. The storm does not have a significant impact on Thailand.
Warning All ships in the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and small boats should keep ashore during August 24-25.
