General Situation The tropical storm “VAMCO” over the central South China Sea was centered at about 350 kilometers of Da Nang, Vietnam, or latitude 15.5 degree North, longitude 111.0 degree East, with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/hr. It is moving west with a speed of 12 km/hr. It is forecast to make landfall over the central Vietnam during 15-16 September 2015. It is expected to have a significant impact on Thailand during 16-17 September. All passengers should stay tuned for the weather update.
The monsoon trough lies across the North, the upper Central and the lower Northeast, and the moderate monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Rain remains over the Central, the East and the South while the stronger wind waves is likely about 2 meters high in the upper Andaman.
