General Situation At 04.00 a.m. (18 September 2015), the low pressure cell covers Myanmar and western of Thailand and will move to cover Myanmar and Thailand border while the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Widespread rain, as well as isolated heavy to very heavy rain, remains over the Central, the East and the South. People should beware of the severe weather conditions. The provinces include Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Suphan Buri, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Bangkok Metropolis and Vicinity, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket and Krabi. The strong wind waves are expected 2-3 meters high in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore on 18 September.

Easterly winds 20-40 km/hr.

Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershower areas.

Southern Part (East Coast) Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain

mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani,

Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla.

Minimum temperature 22-25 C. Maximum temperature 29-31 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters and above 3 meters in thundershower areas.

Southern Part (West Coast) Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rain

in Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket and Krabi.

Minimum temperature 21-24 C. Maximum temperature 28-30 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.

Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershower areas.
