Weather Forecast During 1-3 Oct, high pressure area covers southern China, and the monsoon trough lies across the Central, the East and the lower Northeast. Abundant rain, as well as isolated heavy rain, is likely over upper Thailand. The weakening southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand with less rain in the South. During 4-7 Oct, the monsoon trough will lie across the North, the upper Central and the Northeast, and the stronger southwest monsoon will prevail over the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand. Increasing rain with isolated heavy rain is expected over Thailand. The strong wind wave about 2 meters high is expected in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand.
Tropical depression over the Pacific Ocean will move across the Philippines to the upper South China Sea on 2 Oct, and then intense to tropical cyclone. It is forecast to make a landfall over northern Vietnam during 4-5 Oct.
Warning During 4-7 Oct, people in the North, the East, the Northeast and the South should beware of heavy rain. All ships in the Andaman and the upper Gulf of Thailand Sea should proceed with caution.
