General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the North, the upper Central and the Northeast of Thailand. Continuous rain is expected over the upper country, as well as isolated heavy rain in the North and the Northeast. The weak southwest monsoon across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand leads to decreasing rain.
During 9-11 October, the high pressure area will extend to southern China and upper Vietnam resulting in the stronger monsoon trough over upper Thailand. Abundant rain, with isolated heavy to very heavy rain, is forecast over the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East. People should beware of the severe conditions.
