General Situation

The strong high pressure from China will cover the Northeast of Thailand at night of 15 December. The persistent of extension over the upper country will likely last by 19 December. Outbreaks of rain will come before cool to cold spell following with 3-5 ?C drops in the Northeast and 2-4 ?C elsewhere. People should keep warm and healthy.

The northeast monsoon across the Gulf and the South of Thailand will intensify with the wind wave 2-3 meters high in the lower Gulf from Surat Thani downward. All ships in the Gulf should proceed with caution. Small boats keep ashore during 16-19 December.

Typhoon “Melor” over the Philippines is forecast to move to the lower South China Sea by tomorrow and it then becomes weak. All passengers should check the weather update before their departure.
