The moderate high pressure area from China covers the North, the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea. Cool to cold weather with fog in the morning is likely over the North, the Northeast and the upper Central while isolated rain is expected over the lower Central, the East and the South. The moderate northeast monsoon prevails across the lower Gulf of Thailand with wave 1-2 meters high in the Gulf from Surat Thani downward.
During 9-10 January, the westerly wind in the upper level will prevail over the North and the upper Northeast. Cooler weather is expected over the area during the period.
