General Situation The moderate high pressure from China still covered the upper Thailand and South China Sea, cool to cold and gusty are expected in the areas. The moderate northeast monsoon leads to more rain in the South and the lower Gulf’s wind waves about 2 meters high from Surat Thani southward. All ships should proceed with caution.
During 5-8 Feb, another rather strong high pressure from China will extend to the upper Thailand. Cool weather with 3-5 C drops are expected over upper Thailand. The stronger northeast monsoon will prevail over the Gulf and the South of Thailand. Strong wind-wave is expected over the area with wave about 2-3 meters high in the south of the Gulf.
