General Situation The southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. More rain is likely over the country and isolated heavy rain in the South.

At 21 UTC today, typhoon “NIDA” in the upper South China was centered about 65 kilometers east of Hong Kong or at latitude 22.5 degree north longitude 114.8 degree east with maximum sustained wind about 120 km/hr. It is moving west-northwest with speed 24 km/hr. It is expected make landfall over east of Hong Kong in the morning (2 Aug). Traveler should be advised before departure.
