General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the lower Central, the upper South and the East while the southeast monsoon still prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Rain is still likely over the upper South and the east with isolated heavy rain. Bangkok and its vicinity are still rain. All people should beware of accumulated rainfall.

At 04.00 a.m. (18 October), Typhoon “SARIKA” over the upper South China Sea was due 100 km southeast of Hainan. This storm make landfall Hainan, China today. Expected, it will move to upper Vietnam near Hanoi during 19-20 October and this storm will downgrade to tropical storm, tropical depression in order.
