General Situation The strong high pressure covers upper Thailand. The northeast monsoon intensifies across the Gulf and the South of Thailand, and the active low pressure will move through lower southern Thailand and Malaysia. Outbreaks of cool to cold spells and strong winds are forecast over upper Thailand while an increase in rain spells is forecast with heavy to very heavy rain in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. People should beware of severe weather and possible flash flood.
The strong wind waves 2-3 meters high are likely in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore. People in the Gulf should beware of inshore surge.
