General Situation The moderate high pressure over upper Thailand causes outbreaks of cool spells with fog in the morning while the northeast monsoon across the Gulf intensifies with more persistent rain expected with heavy in some parts of the South. Waves are forecast up to 2-3 meters high in the Gulf. During 18-22 January the monsoon will gain more strength forcing the South persistent rainfall with heavy, as well as waves staying 2-3 meters high.
