General Situation The weak high pressure over upper Thailand and the South China Sea causes an increase in temperature with patchy fog spells. Morning cool to cold spells are likely in the North and the Northeast. People should keep healthy due to the change of weather conditions, and transport should proceed with caution in poor visibility. The weak moderate northeast monsoon across the Gulf causes a reduction of rain spells over the South.
During 9-15 February, another rather strong high pressure will covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea forcing the stronger northeast monsoon across the Gulf. Outbreaks of isolated thundershowers will be likely with windy condition over the Northeast, the Central and the East, following with a decrease in temperature by 4-6 C. People should beware of the severe and changeable conditions.
