During 29-30 May, tropical cyclone “MORA” over the upper part of Bengal Bay is forecast to move to Myanmar and Bangladesh by tomorrow (30 May). The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and Thailand. Increasing rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely in the North, the Central, the East and the South. The strong wind waves are likely 2-3 meters height in the upper Andaman Sea.

During 31 May - 4 June, the southwest monsoon will prevail over the Andaman Sea and Thailand with weak wind waves about 2 meters height. Decreasing rainfall is expected over the upper part of the country. Still, the upper North and the Northeast get isolated heavy rain.

Warning

During 29-30 May, all people should beware of heavy rain. Flash floods are possible especially in foothills and lowlands. All ships in the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.

During 29-30 May, scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rain.

During 31 May - 4 June, scattered thundershowers.

Eastern Part

During 29-30 May, scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rain.

Southwesterly wind 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1- 2 meters and about 2 meters in thundershower.

During 31 May - 4 June, scattered thundershowers.

Southwesterly wind 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and 1- 2 meters in thundershower.

Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 29-35 C.

Southern Part (East Coast)

Scattered thundershowers throughout the period and isolated heavy rain on 29 May mainly in the upper part. During 29-30 May, southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters offshore.

During 31 May - 4 June, southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and 1- 2 meters offshore.

Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 30-35 C.

Southern Part (West Coast)

During 29-30 May, scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain.

Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershower.

During 31 May - 4 June, scattered thundershowers.

Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower.

Minimum temperature 22-26 C. Maximum temperature 29-34 C.

Metropolitan

During 29-30 May, scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain.
