General Situation The low pressure covers upper of India and Bangladesh while the weak southwest monsoon prevails over the upper Andaman Sea and Thailand. Still rainfall is likely in upper Thailand. People along lowlands and foothills in the North and the Northeast should beware of flash flood.

The South gets less rain and the moderate wind waves in the upper Andaman Sea about 2 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution.

At 04.00 a.m. on 12 June, tropical storm “Merbok” in the middle South China Sea was centered at latitude 19.8 degree north and longitude 115.4 degree east with maximum sustained winds about 55 km/hr. The storm was moving north-northwest at speed 22 km/hr. It is forecast to move across southern China during 12-13 June. The storm has no significant impact on Thailand.

Northeastern Part Scattered thundershowers mostly in Loei, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum and Khon Kaen.

Southwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr.

Central Part Isolated thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Lop Buri, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Suphan Buri and Nakhon Pathom.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 32-34 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Eastern Part Isolated thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Nayok, Chon Buri, Rayong,

Chanthaburi and Trat.

Minimum temperature 23-29 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas.

Southern Part (East Coast) Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan and Chumphon.

Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-37 C.

Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters offshore.

Southern Part (West Coast) Isolated thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phangnga and Phuket.

Minimum temperature 22-27 C. Maximum temperature 33-36 C.

Ranong upward: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas.

Phuket downward: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters in thundershower areas.
