General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the lower central, the east and the lower northeast, and the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea. Outbreaks of rain spell continues with isolated downpour over the country. People should beware of the severe conditions, especially in the North, the Central, the East and the South (west coast). The wind waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf are likely about 2 meters high.
Tropical storm “KHANUN” downgraded from typhoon strength is forecast to move to Hainan, China today. It will lose energy quickly after hit the land of middle Vietnam where the high-pressure system covers including upper Laos. Travelers should stay tuned for the weather update.
