General Situation The tropical depression over the middle Gulf of Thailand due 200km east of Chumphon is moving northwest to make landfall over Chumphon today before moving out to the Andaman Sea tomorrow. Widespread rain will be likely with gusty winds and isolated torrential downpours. Residents should beware of severe conditions and possible flash flood. The strong wind waves 2-3 meters high are likely in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore. People in the South (east coast) should beware of inshore surge.

Upper Thailand will still receive cool spell and morning fog. Outbreaks of odd rain spell is possible in the North, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East.

Southern Part (East Coast) Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated torrential downpour

in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Northeasterly winds 20-40 km/hr.

Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershower areas.

Southern Part (West Coast) Cloudy with isolated thundershowers and isolated heavy rain

in Ranong, Phangnga, and Phuket.
