General Situation Another high-pressure over Thailand and the South China Sea leads to outbreaks of continuous cold spells dropping by 1-2 C with isolated fog while very cold spells will be seen on mountaintops. The northeast monsoon across the Gulf becomes stronger with wind waves 2-4 meters high. People should stay safe and keep healthy. All ships are still cautious and small boats keep ashore.
By 26 December, tropical storm “TEMBIN” will be moving west from the middle South China Sea to southern Vietnam. It is expected to decline to a depression and an active low cell, respectively and during 26-27 December will reach the Gulf of Thailand. Meanwhile, upper Thailand will get more rain and the South will have heavy downpour in some places. Heavy conditions should be watched. Rough sea 2-4 meters high will be likely and still cautious in the Gulf.
