General Situation The weak high pressure still covers upper Thailand while the easterly winds bring humidity from the South China Sea covers Thailand. Fog in the morning and thick patches in some area with rainfall in the upper Thailand as well as cool spells are likely in the North and the Northeast. All transports should take caution due to poor visibility.
The northeast monsoon across the Gulf is weakening with the wind waves 1-2 meters high in the lower Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution.
Another strong high pressure area from China is extend to Sothern of China. It will extend to cover upper Vietnam and Laos today (8 Jan, 2018). Expected, it will cover upper Thailand during 9-13 Jan, 2018. This cause, rainfall in the first period after that temperature will drop by 4-6 C and strong wind. The northeast monsoon prevail over the Gulf and the South of Thailand will strength causes more rain and isolated heavy rain in the South. The strong wind waves 2-3 meters high are likely in the lower Gulf.
