The strong high-pressure system covers upper Thailand with colder spells dropping by 2-4 C weather with strong winds in the area. The mountaintops will see cold to very cold spells in the North and the Northeast. People should keep healthy.
The strong northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf of Thailand bringing isolated downpours in the South with rough sea 2-3 meters high in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea. Residents along the Gulf’s shore should watch for inshore surge. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Gulf keep ashore lasting 15 January.
