During 12 – 15 Jan, the strong high pressure covers Thailand with cool to cold spells dropping by 2-4 ?C and strong winds over the area. During 16 – 18 Jan, the high pressure will weaken with a rise in temperature by 3-5 ?C and a chance of fog in the morning over the upper country. Cool to cold spells remain in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East while Bangkok and its vicinity perceive cool with morning light fog.
During 12-15 Jan in the south, the northeast monsoon across the Gulf intensifies with isolated torrential rain while the lower Gulf gets rough sea 2-3 meters. The wind waves in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea will become strong lasting 15 Jan

During 12 – 15 Jan 2018, people in upper Thailand keep healthy due to cold spells. Residents along the South, east coast watch for inshore surge. All ships in the Gulf should proceed with caution, and small boats in the lower Gulf should keep ashore lasting 15 Jan 2018.
