Weather Forecast During 31 Jan – 1 Feb, the strong high pressure from China covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea. The westerly wind from Myanmar to move to covers in the North. These cause variable weather is expected over upper Thailand while thundershowers and decrease in temperature by 2-4 C. During 2 – 6 Feb, another strong high pressure from China will extend to Thailand and causes cool to cold weather remains in the upper country with strong winds and decrease in temperature by 3-5 C.

The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf of Thailand and the South will strengthen and causes strong wind waves 2-3 merters in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea throughout the period.

Warning During 31 Jan – 6 Feb, people and farmers in the upper country keep healty should be careful of the damage at first which may occur to agricultural produce. All ships in the Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution, and small boats should keep ashore.

Northern Part During 31 Jan – 1 Feb, cool to cold, 2-4 C drop in temperature.

Isolated thundershowers mostly in the lower part.

Minimum temperature 12-22 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C.

Cold to very cold on mountaintops, Minimum temperature 2-11 C. Westerly wind 10-30 km/hr.

During 2 – 6 Feb, cool to cold with strong winds, 3-5 C drop in temperature.

Minimum temperature 10-19 C. Maximum temperature 25-29 C.

Cold to very cold on mountaintops, Minimum temperature 1-10 C. Easterly wind 15-35 km/hr.

Northeastern Part On 31 Jan, cool to cold with strong winds, 2-4 C drop in temperature.

Isolated thundershowers mostly in the lower portion.

Minimum temperature 14-20 C. Maximum temperature 26-29 C.

Cold to very cold on mountaintops, Minimum temperature 10-14 C.

Southern Part (East Coast) During 31 Jan – 3 Feb, isolated to scattered thundershowers with isolated heavy rains.

During 4 – 6 Feb, isolated thundershowers.

During 31 Jan – 6 Feb, from Sutrat Thani North ward: Easterly wind 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.

From Nakhon Si Thammarat south ward: Northeasterly wind 20-40 km/hr.

Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.
