General Situation The tropical depression over the upper South China Sea was centered about 50 km. south of Guangdong, China. It is moving north-northwestward about 12 km/hr, with maximum sustained winds about 55 km/hr. It will move to Guangdong, China by today (6 June). For traveler to Vietnam and Hainan Island, China should check the weather before traveling.
The monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast to the tropical depression over the upper South China Sea. The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand cause more rain and isolated heavy in the North, the Northeast, the East, the central and the South. People should beware of heavy rain.
The moderate wind waves are likely about 2 meters in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand and above 2 meters in thundershowers areas. All ships should proceed with cautions.
