General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the upper North of Thailand, Laos and Vietnam through the active low pressure over the upper South China Sea, and the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Outbreaks of abundant rain are forecast the country. Isolated heavy rain is forecast for the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East while isolated torrential rain is forecast for the South. People should beware of the severe conditions. Rough sea in the Andaman Sea is forecast 2-4 meters high of waves while the Gulf gets 2-3 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution. Residents along the coast of the East and the South should beware of inshore surge lasting 15 July.
Typhoon “Maria” is expected to move through Fujian, China today (11 July) with no effect on Thailand. Travelers should check the weather forecast before departure.

in Chiang Rai, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Lampang, and Phitsanulok.

Northeastern Part Cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain

Mukdahan, Yasothon, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Amnat Charoen, and Ubon Ratchathani.

Southern Part (West Coast) Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated torrential rain
in Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket, and Krabi.
