During 16 – 20 Jul, the monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, the upper North and Laos to the active low pressure over the Gulf of Tokin. The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Abundant rain with isolated heavy rain is likely over upper Thailand. The strong wind and waver are likely 2-3 meters in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf. During 21-22 Jul, the monsoon trough will lie across Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam while the southwest monsoon will weaken to the moderate. Abundance rain remains over the North and the Norteast while less rain is expected over the rest region. The winds and waves are expected about 2 meters over the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf. Warning During 16 – 20 Jul, people should beware of heavy rain and accumulated rainfall. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should proceed with caution and small boats should keep ashore until 19 July.
