Weather Forecast: During 17 – 20 Jul, the monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, the upper North and the upper Northeast. The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Abundant rain with isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely over Thailand. The strong wind and waves are likely 2-3 meters in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf. During 21-23 Jul, the monsoon trough will lie across Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam while the southwest monsoon will weaken. Less rain over Thailand and abundance remains over the North and the Norteast. The moderates winds and waves are expected about 2 meters over the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf.
Tropical strom “SON-TINH” over the upper South China Sea is expected to move to upper Veitnam during 18 – 19 Jul.

During 17 – 20 Jul, people should beware of heavy rain and accumulated rainfall. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should proceed with caution and small boats should keep ashore.
