General Situation The monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, the North and the upper Northeast with the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Outbreaks of abundant rain are forecast for the country and isolated very heavy rain is also forecast for the North, the Northeast, the East and the South. People should beware of the severe conditions. The stronger wind waves will be likely 2-3 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boat keep ashore. Residents along the coast of the East and the western South should beware of inshore surge lasting 22 July.

The tropical storm “SON-TINH” over the upper South China sea has maximum sustained wind of 70 km/hr. This storm is moving westward with the speed of 35 km/hr. It is expected to move to the Gulf of Tokin by this morning (18 July) and move to upper Vietnam in the evening (18 July). Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.

Bueng Kan, Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Roi Et, Amnat Charoen

Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.

Nakhon Si Thammarat northwards: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.
