General Situation Tropical storm “SON-TINH” makes landfall over Vinh, Vietnam. It is moving west with wind speed of 20 km/hr. with maximum sustained wind about 70 km/hr. It is expected downgraded to the tropical depression and the active low pressure over Laos and the upper Northeast of Thailand on today (19 July). It will have an effect isolated heavy to very heavy rain in the North and the Northeast. People should beware of severe weather conditions and stay tuned for the weather forecast.

The strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Outbreaks of isolated very heavy rain is also forecast for the East and the South. People should beware of the severe conditions.

Northeastern Part Very cloudy with widespread thundershowers. Heavy rain in many places and isolated heavy rain in Loei,

Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, Mukdahan,

Amnat Charoen, Yasothon, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima Buri Ram, Surin, Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani.

Southern Part (East Coast) Cloudy with scattered thundershowers mostly in Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Minimum temperature 22-24 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C.

Nakhon Si Thammarat northwards: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters offshore.

Songkhla southwards: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas.

Southern Part (West Coast) Cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket and Krabi.

Phuket northward: Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.

Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershower areas.
