General Situation

At 04.00 a.m. LST on 23 July, the tropical depression over the Gulf of Tonkin. The storm is moving east about 12 km/hr with maximum sustained winds about 55 km/hr. It is expected make landfall to the Southern of China during 23-24 July 2018. Abundance rain with isolated heavy rain are likely in the Northeast and the North. Still watch for flash flood.

The weak southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf cause less rain in the South with the rough sea about 2 meters high in upper portions of both the Andaman while thundershowers lead the wave up to more than 2 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution.

Northern Part Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers mostly in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai,

Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Tak, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Kamphaeng Phet,

Phichit and Phetchabun.

Northeastern Part Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Udon Thani, Nong Khai,

Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom.

Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Central Part Cloudy with scattered thundershowers mostly in Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi, Suphan Buri, Uthai Thani,

Chai Nat and Nakhon Sawan.

Eastern Part Cloudy with scattered thundershowers mostly in Chachoengsao, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Southern Part (East Coast) Cloudy with isolated thundershowers mostly in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Surat Thani.

Nakhon Si Thammarat northwards: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Southern Part (West Coast) Cloudy with isolated thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phangnga, and Phuket.
