General Situation At 4.00 a.m. LST on 24 July, the tropical depression over upper South China Sea. The storm is moving north about 12 km/hr with maximum sustained winds about 55 km/hr. It is expected move pass upper South China Sea and decline to low pressure over the Southern of China on 24 July 2018. Abundance rain with isolated heavy rain are likely in the Northeast and the North. Still watch for flash flood.
The weak southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf cause less rain in the South with the rough sea about 2 meters high in upper portions of both the Andaman while thundershowers lead the wave up to more than 2 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution.
