General Situation The moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Thundershower remains in the North, the Northeast and the western part of the country. The wind and waves are likely about 2 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution.
During 5-8 August, the monsoon trough will lie across the upper North and the upper Northeast while the southwest monsoon will strengthen across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Outbreaks of more rain, as well as isolated heavy downpour, will be expected. The rough sea will be forecast in the Andaman Sea 2-4 meters high and in the upper Gulf 2-3 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.
