During 6-9 Aug, the monsoon trough will lie across the North and the upper Northeast to active low in South China Sea while the strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. More rain with isolated heavy rain are forecast for Thailand. The strong wind and waves are expedted 2-3 meters over the Andaman Sea and about 2 meters over the upper Gulf, above 3 meters in thundershowers areas. During 10-12 Aug, the monsoon trough will lie across the North and the upper Northeast while the southwest monsoon prevail over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand is weakening. Persist rain is forecast for Thailand. The wind and waves are expected about 2-3 meters over the Andaman Sea.

People over Thailand should beware of severe conditions. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should proceed with caution and small boats should keep ashore all most the period.

Surat Thani northwards: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters off shore.
Nakhon Si Thammarat southwards: Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr.
Wave height about 1 meter and 1- 2 meters off shore.

Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers areas.
Krabi southwards: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.
