General Situation The monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast to the active low pressure over the South China Sea while the strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. More rain with isolated heavy rain are forecast for the country. Flash floods are possible for the risk areas. People should beware of severe condition.
The strong wind waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea, about 2 meters high in the upper Gulf and above
3 meters high in thundershower areas. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore lasting 9 August.

Nan, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Sukhothai, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.

Chumphon and Surat Thani.

Surat Thani northward: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters offshore.
Nakhon Si Thammarat southward: Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr.

Southern Part (West Coast) Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Ranong and Phangnga.
