During 10-12 Aug, the monsoon trough lie across Myanmar and the upper Vietnam in to the tropical depression over the South China Sea while the strong southwest monsoon prevail over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Abundance rain is forecast for Thailand and isolated heavy rain in the North, the Northeast, the East and the South west coast. The strong wind and waves are expected 2-3 meters over the Andaman Sea and about 2 meters over the upper Gulf. During 13-16 Aug, the southwest monsoon prevail over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand will stronger. The tropical depression over the South China Sea is expected to move to cover Vietnam and Laos during 14-15 Aug. Isolated heavy to very heavy rain are likely in the North, the Northeast, the East and the South west coast. The strong wind and waves are expected 2-4 meters over the Andaman Sea and 2-3 meters over the upper Gulf.

People over Thailand should beware of severe conditions. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should proceed with caution and small boats should keep ashore throughout the period.

Surat Thani northwards: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Nakhon Si Thammarat southwards: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Southern Part (West Coast) During 10-12 Aug , scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers
with isolated heavy rain mostly in the upper part.
