General Situation The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Thundershowers with isolated heavy rain are forecast for the North, the Northeast, the East and the South (west coast). Flash floods are possible for the risk areas. People should beware of a severe condition.
The strong wind waves are likely 2-4 meters high in the Andaman Sea but above 4 meters high in thundershower areas, and 2-3 meters high in the upper Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore throughout the period.
Tropical storm “BEBINCA” covers the South China Sea or the northeast of Hainan. It is moving westward slowly and expected to move to upper Vietnam and Laos during 16–17 August 2018 with continuous rain with isolated torrential downpours over the North and the Northeast.

Southern Part (East Coast) Cloudy with scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan,
Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si thammarat.

Surat Thani northward: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.
Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters offshore.
Nakhon Si Thammarat southward: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
