During 16-18 Aug, the strong southwest monsoon prevail over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Tropical “BEBINCA” over the Gulf of Tonkin Sea is expected to move to cover Vietnam and Laos during 17-18 Aug. Isolated heavy to very heavy rain are likely in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South west coast. During 19-22 Aug, the southwest monsoon prevail over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand will weakening. Less rain is likely over Thailand while isolated heavy in the west of North, the East and the South west coast.
The strong wind and waves are expected 2-4 meters over the Andaman Sea and 2-3 meters over the upper Gulf throughout the period.

People over Thailand should beware of severe conditions. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should proceed with caution and small boats should keep ashore throughout the period.

Southern Part (East Coast) During 16-18 Aug, scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rain mostly in the upper part.
During 19-22 Aug, scattered thundershowers.
Surat Thani northwards: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.
Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters off shore.
Nakhon Si Thammarat southwards: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters off shore.

Southern Part (West Coast) During 16-18 Aug, fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy to very heavy rain mostly in the upper part.
During 19-21 Aug, scattered thundershowers.
Phuket northwards: Southwesterly wind 20-45 km/hr.
Wave height 2-4 meters and above 4 meters in thundershowers areas.
Krabi southwards: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.
Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas.
Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-35 C.
Metropolitan Scattered thundershowers throughout the period with isolated heavy rain during 16-19 Aug.
