During 17-19 Aug, the strong southwest monsoon prevail over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Tropical storm“BEBINCA” over the Gulf of Tonkin Sea has moved to cover Vietnam and expected to cover Laos during 17-18 Aug. Isolated heavy to very heavy rain are likely in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South west coast. The strong wind and waves are expected 2-4 meters over the Andaman Sea and 2-3 meters over the upper Gulf.
During 20--23 Aug, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand will weaken. Less rain is likely over Thailand while isolated heavy rain are forecast for the west of North, the Central, the East and the South west coast. The wind and waves over the Andaman Sea is likely 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershower areas.
Warning
During 17-19 Aug, people over Thailand should beware of severe conditions. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should proceed with caution and small boats should keep ashore throughout the period.
Northern Part
During 17-19 Aug, fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy to very heavy rain.
During 21-23 Aug, scattered thundershowers with isolated heavy rain mostly in the western portion.
