General Situation The monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, Laos and upper Vietnam while the southwest monsoon prevailing across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is stronger. More rain with isolated heavy rain are forecast for the North, the upper Northeast, the East and the South. Flash floods are possible for the risk areas, and people in these areas should beware of the severe condition. The rough sea is likely about 2 meters high in the Andaman Sea but above 2 meters high in thundershower areas, and 1-2 meters high in the upper Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution.
The tropical depression over the south of Taiwan, China is almost stationary with no effect on Thailand. Passengers should check the forecast before departure.
During 23-24 August 2018, typhoon “SOULIK” is expected to move to the South of Korea while typhoon “CIMARON” is expected to move to the South of Japan. Passengers should check the weather forecast before departure.
