During 24-28 Aug, the monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, the upper North, the upper Northeast to the low pressure over the Gulf of Tonkin while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. More rain with isolated heavy rain is likely over Thailand. During 29-30 Aug, the monsoon trough will lift up to lie across Myanmar, upper Laos and upper Vietnam while the moderate southwest monsoon remains over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Less rain with isolated heavy rain is likely over the North, the Northeast and the East. The moderate wind and waves over the Andaman Sea is likely about 2 meters high and 1- 2 meters high in the upper Gulf throughout the period.
Passengers should check the forecast before departure due to the tropical depression over the coast of the middle China and typhoons over Korea and Japan.
