General Situation The moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, and the Gulf of Thailand. Thundershowers and isolated heavy rain are likely in the North, the lower Northeast, the Central the East and the South. People should beware of the severe condition and flash floods is possible for the risk areas. The wind and waves are likely about 2 meters over the Andaman Sea and above 2 meters in thundershower areas. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats should keep ashore.

During 7-9 September 2018, the monsoon trough will lie across upper Thailand while the southwest monsoon will strengthen. More rain and isolated heavy rain are likely over Thailand. The wind and waves over the Andaman Sea are likely 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershower areas.
