Weather Forecast: During 17 - 20 Sep, the monsoon trough will lie across the lower North, the Central and the lower Northeast while the southwest monsoon prevailing across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand will strengthen. While tropical storm “MUNGKHUT” over the south China is expected to downgrade to tropical depression and low pressure cell, respectively. More rain and isolated heavy rain are forecast for Thailand. The strong wind and wave are likely 2-4 meters in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. During 21 - 23 Sep, the monsoon trough will move to lie across the lower North, the Central, the East and the lower Northeast while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Thundershowers with isolated heavy rain remain over the country. The moderate wind and waves are expected about 2 meters over the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf.
