General Situation The active low-pressure cell over the Gulf of Thailand is expected to move today (20 November) through the South and through the Andaman Sea by 21 November. In addition, the stronger northeasterly wind across the Gulf of Thailand bring about isolated heavy rain in the area. People should beware of severe conditions. The moderate wind waves are likely about 2 meters high in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution lasting 22 November. A reduction of rainfalls is forecast for the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East regions due to the moderate high-pressure system over the North, the upper Northeast and the South China Sea.
From 22-25 November, another high pressure system will extend to the upper half of the country and the South China Sea. A cool spell with strong winds will be likely over the areas. A decrease in temperature by 2-4 C will be forecast for the North and the Northeast while in the Central Plains including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East the temperatures decrease by 1-3 C. In addition, the northeast monsoon will intensify with outbreaks of continuous rainfall over the South and moderate wind waves of both seas.
