General Situation The strong high-pressure system covers upper Thailand, and the strong northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf of Thailand. Cold spells with strong winds are expected in the areas. In the North and the Northeast temperatures decrease by 1-2 C. A slight decreasing temperature are forecast for Central, East, and Bangkok and vicinity. People are advised to keep warm and stay healthy due to the sharp cold spells.

In the South, isolated heavy to very heavy rains are possible, and people in the areas where gains the accumulated rainfall should brace for the possible flash floods and the forest runoffs. The rough sea 2-3 meters high are forecast for the Gulf and the Andaman Sea. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Gulf keep ashore lasting 17 December.
