General Situation The high pressure covering upper Thailand is weakening and cause a rising temperature with morning fog including light rain over the upper country. The northeast monsoon prevailing the Gulf and the South is weakening. Less rain is likely over the South while the wind and waves are expected 1-2 meters high in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea.
During 8-9 Jan, 2019, the westerly trough from Myanmar will move to cover the North of Thailand. Thundershowers with isolated heavy rain including gusty winds and isolated hails are forecast for the North. People in the North should beware of severe conditions as well as farmers should beware of crop damage.
