During 17-21 January 2019, the moderate high pressure covers upper Thailand. Cool with strong winds are likely over the upper country while cold to very cold and frost on the mountain top of the North. The moderate northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South and cause more rain over the South while during 17-19 January 2019, the moderate wind and waves about 2 meters are expected over the lower Gulf. During 22-23 January 2019, another high pressure area from China will extend upper Thailand and the South China Sea and cause drop in temperature by 2-4C with cool weather are likely over upper Thailand. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf of Thailand and the South are likely about 2 meters.
