During 5 – 9 February 2019, the weak high pressure covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea and the southeasterly wind bring the humidity from the South China Sea to upper Thailand. Increasing temperature by 1-3 C, morning fog and thick pathches are forecast for the upper country with isolated thundershowers. Meanwhile, the westerly winds prevail over the upper North and the Northeast. Cool to cold spells remain possible in the areas. During 10 – 11 February 2019, another high pressure area will extend to the North and the Northeast accompanying by the remaining southeasterly winds across upper Thailand. Isolated thundershowers with gust are likely in the areas.
The weak northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South throughout the period. Isolated thundershowers are likely in the South.
Warning
During 5-9 February 2019, isolated thundershowers and stronger winds are likely in Bangkok Metropolis and its Vicinity. This will reduce air pollution over the areas. People in upper Thailand should beware procedure with caution cause of poor visibility.
