General Situation The monsoon trough lies across Myanmar and upper Vietnam and is expected to move to lie across the North and the Northeast by today (27 May 2019). The southwest monsoon prevailing the Andaman Sea and Thailand is stronger. More rains and isolated heavy rain are forecast over the North, the Northeast, the East and the South. The wind waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are likely about 2 meters and 2-3 meters in thundershower areas. All ships should proceed with caution.
During 27-30 May 2019, the monsoon though will prevail across the North and the upper North while the southwest monsoon across the Andaman Sea and Thailand will strengthen. Increasing rain with isolated heavy falls are forecast with the moderate wind waves of the Andaman Sea and the Gulf. The height of waves is about 2 meters in the Andaman Sea and 2-3 meters in thundershowers areas.
