General Situation
The tropical depression over the upper South China Sea and lay centered about 230 kilometers southeast of Hainan with sustained wind about 55 km/hr. The storm was moving west at a speed 18 km/hr. It is forecast make landfall over upper Vietnam during 3-4 July. The monsoon trough lies across the upper North and Lao while the strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. More rains will be likely over country and isolated heavy to very heavy rains. People should beware the severe conditions.
The strong winds and waves are likely in the Andaman Sea 2-3 meters high and the Gulf about 2 meters high. Both seas are above 3 meters high in thundershower areas. All ships should proceed with caution, and keep off thundershower areas. Small boats keep ashore.
