The active low-pressure cell over the upper South China Sea is expected to move through the Gulf of Tonkin by 2 July. It will cover upper Vietnam and Laos from 3-4 July while the monsoon trough lies across the upper North of Thailand and Laos into the low cell. From 2-4 July, more rain will be forecast for upper Thailand with outbreaks of isolated heavy rain for the North, the Central and the East regions while some torrential rain possible for the northeast.

The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. The strong wind waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, 2-3 meters over the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand about 2 metes throughout the period.

Warning

During 2 - 4 Jul 2019, people in the country should beware of heavy rains that might cause flash flood. In the Andaman Sea waves 2-3 meters high are likely while the Gulf of Thailand has waves about 2-3 meters high. All ships in Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should proceed with caution and small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore throughout the period. Northern Part Scattered to fairly thundershowers with isolated heavy rain mostly in the western part, throughout the period.

Northeastern Part During 2 - 4 Jul, scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rain.

During 5 – 7 Jul, isolated to scattered thundershowers.

Southwesterly wind 15-20 km/hr.

Central Part On 2 Jul and during 6 – 7 Jul, isolated to scattered thundershowers.

During 3 – 5 Jul, scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain.

Minimum temperature 24-27C. Maximum temperature 33-37C.

Southwesterly wind 15-30 km/hr.

Eastern Part Scattered thundershowers with isolated heavy rain throughout the preriod.

Southwesterly wind 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers areas.

Minimum temperature 24-27C. Maximum temperature 32-36C.

Southern Part (East Coast) Isolated to scattered thundershowers throughout the preriod.

Southwesterly wind 20-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers areas.

Minimum temperature 24-27 C. Maximum temperature 32-36 C.

Southern Part (West Coast) Scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers throughout the preriod.

Phuket and northward: southwesterly wind 20-40 km/hr.

Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers areas..

Krabi and southward: southwesterly wind 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers areas.

Minimum temperature 23-26C. Maximum temperature 31-34C.

Metropolitan Scattered thundershowers thoughout the preriod. Haevy rain is expecet during 2 – 4 Jul.

Minimum temperature 26-28C. Maximum temperature 33-37C.
