The active low-pressure cell over the upper South China Sea is expected to move through the Gulf of Tonkin by 2 July. It will cover upper Vietnam and Laos from 3-4 July while the monsoon trough lies across the upper North of Thailand and Laos into the low cell. From 2-4 July, more rain will be forecast for upper Thailand with outbreaks of isolated heavy rain for the North, the Central and the East regions while some torrential rain possible for the northeast.
The strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. The strong wind waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, 2-3 meters over the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand about 2 metes throughout the period.
Warning
During 2 - 4 Jul 2019, people in the country should beware of heavy rains that might cause flash flood. In the Andaman Sea waves 2-3 meters high are likely while the Gulf of Thailand has waves about 2-3 meters high. All ships in Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should proceed with caution and small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore throughout the period.
